Specttrum News (Kulbir S Kalsi): Aiming to help the needy and talented youth of Punjab-Haryana region, famous sufi singer Satinder Sartaj has formed an organization named ‘Sartaj foundation’.

The foundation will help the youth to hone their skills in their respected fields of arts, culture and sports. In its first gesture, it honored the Karnal-based athlete Beant Singh, who won the 800 meter race in the Asian Youth Athletic Championship held at Doha. 

At a function held at Chandigarh press Club today, Sartaj handed over a cheque of one lakh rupees to the athlete. Divulging details about the motto of this foundation, Sartaj said that this foundation will focus on betterment and well-being of the youth.

"We will aid youth excelled in the fields of arts, culture and sports," he added. "I feel gratitude for my audience who wholeheartedly accepted, loved, appreciated my way of singing and put me at this height. Now I feel it my duty to help those needy and talented youth so that they could be put on a path towards career success with the intention to create a better society."
