Shiv Nadar University celebrated its third convocation. Along with the graduation of its largest under graduate batch yet, the convocation also marked the passing out of the University's first two doctoral students. A total of 440 students received their Doctoral, Master's and Bachelor's degrees from various streams including Engineering, Natural Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Business and Arts.

Mike Lawrie, Chairman, DXC Technology, attended the event as the Chief Guest. The Convocation was also attended by Shiv Nadar, Founder and Chairman, HCL and Shiv Nadar Foundation, SNU faculty members, students and parents.

Shiv Nadar University conferred Honorary Doctorate on Dr Jagdish Sheth, a renowned scholar and recognized thought leader and one of the foremost authorities in the world on marketing and consumer behavior.

Dr S N Balakrishnan, Chancellor, Shiv Nadar University, said, "With every achievement that our students register, we inch closer to realizing our vision of being a global center of excellence in higher education. Year-on-year, our faculty, our students and our partnerships with leading global institutions ensure that new learnings, ideas and thinking go out of the University and make a mark on the larger world outside."

Mike Lawrie, Chairman, President and CEO, DXC Technology congratulated the fresh graduates on their success. He also recognized the University's efforts in bringing new approaches to learning by inculcating the spirit of innovation as a fundamental approach to teaching.

The University, spread over 286-acres campus, in Delhi NCR has a vibrant community of approximately 2,100 students, including more than 140 PhD scholars, and 400 faculty and staff members. The University offers a wide range of degree programs from the undergraduate to the doctoral levels and has five schools: Engineering, Natural Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management & Entrepreneurship and Extended Education & Professional Development.
