BMW Group India delivered 9800 cars (BMW + MINI) in 2017, registering a growth of 25% as compared to 2016. MINI is leading the small-premium car segment with 421 MINIs hitting the road in 2017, a growth of 17% as compared to 2016.


In the first year of its operations in the country, BMW Motorrad has created a strong appeal among Indian customers, delivering 252 motorcycles.

Headquartered in Gurgaon, BMW India is a 100% subsidiary of the BMW Group. Till date, BMW Group invested over Rs 5.2 billion in BMW India. The wide range of BMW activities in India include a manufacturing plant in Chennai, a parts warehouse in Mumbai, a training centre in Gurgaon NCR and development of a dealer organisation across major metropolitan centres of the country. Currently, BMW India has 42 sales outlets in the Indian market. The total number of employees at BMW Group India is 650.
